Recap -- February 2016

February is such a short month! Phew.. I felt that I've to rush for every tasks just to meet the deadline. Despite the short month, this is the happiest month of the year.

1) Chinese New Year 2016 fall on February this year. Gathering with family is one of the toughest event nowadays since everyone are in different locations and countries. This time my siblings and I have the chance to gather together with parents to celebrate Chinese New Year. Although we seldom meet up, we still have too much topics to chat about whenever we gathered. We even managed to snap family's photos. One evening, my sister took out old photo albums and started to retake the photos. It was fun and all the long-lost memories started to appear. Almost 20 years old photo vs 2016..I'm lucky to call them my family :)

2) Ken and I did not celebrate Valentine's Day this year although both of us were in Singapore this time. We have some arguments going on that day and I knew it was not a good timing to do celebration either. I spent my day finishing up projects and assignments before semester break. Both of us still going on strong, we spent most of our days together. For us, everyday is Valentine's Day. He got me EDP "Love Story" from Chloe, and I love it!!

3) My final presentation was last Monday, and semester break is estimated 2 months from the day onward. Of course, I felt excited that I'm free from assignments and night classes for at least 8 weeks. Meanwhile, I've started to plan to use my free-time effectively.

4)Ken has been wanting a scooter since last year. He talked a lots about scooter and did some research too on which model to get. Finally, we found one that suited him perfectly the other day in a fair. He went back to purchase one after visiting the same fair twice. Now, we are a proud scooter owner. He scoots like a pro, yet I felt so unstable whenever I stand on the scooter. One evening, I decided I've to get myself on that scooter once again! And with that determination, I scoot like a pro now :)

5) My wisdom tooth decided it's time to come out from the gum last week. The pain was brutal!! No one will even understand those pain unless you experienced before. I can't eat anything except porridge for whole week, and if I was too hungry I used swallow tactic. As for today, wisdom tooth still here peeking out a least no much pain. *fingers crossed*

What you've done this month? Do share with me, I'm interested to know too..

Chinese New Year 2016

Chinese New Year came and went off in a blink of eyes. People always said happy moments always passes faster than we can imagine, and i can't agreed more. As I came from typical Chinese family, my parents taught us to celebrate CNY together and CNY is the most important festival for them too.

This year, no one absent from CNY. My youngest sister returning home after spending her 5-years Degree in India. My oldest brother, supposedly going to Japan have decided to postpone his internship until last week. Ken and I spent went back to my hometown this year instead of his. So, this family was complete and ready for CNY..the happiest person on earth should be my parents. My mum prepared meals for us while my dad became her kitchen's assistant. Meanwhile, we helped to finish the food and I guess I gained extra 2 kgs this trip

We started our first day of CNY with a bowl of "mee sua" with chicken soup. In my family, eating "mee sua" represented longevity. My parents will gave each of us red packets as a blessings and I, as a married woman have to give my siblings red packets too.
For the rest of the day, we went to visit our grandma' and my uncle's families. We were greeted by a few relatives too who came visiting from various cities. It was fun to be able to stay connected with everyone since we seldom talk to each others.
My siblings and I preferred to stay at home whole day during CNY to relax rather than going out. Of course, we did a few visiting too. For us, this was the good times for us to get a good rest for our tired body and soul. And we enjoyed chit-chatting with our parents too..

So, how do you spend your CNY? Please share..
