* intagram @joselovincolors *

hello there..it's been a while since i blog and i miss this little space a lots. recently,i'm not being myself and i lost my confident in everything. i struggled to make a wise decisions for any tasks and i felt depressed for no reason. so i gave myself some times with the healing process, slowly.. now i guess, i'm doing quite good and so ready to continue my blogging journey and daily tasks confidently again. times can heals everything!! i missed out three weeks posts, so i hope to catch up on what i was thankful past few weeks.

for the week,i'm thankful for:

-family members. always always my priority to be thankful for. they always stand beside me to pull me up whenever i fall down. and i'm so glad they love me for who i am

-best ice cream in town > milkcow.. soft vanilla ice cream paired with honey are such a great combinations. the ice cream is so smooth that melted in the mouth so fast that i can't stopped myself from finishing everything and never realized that i didn't share with mister.

-during these moody days, one of colleague gave me a small motivation note placed on a packet of ribena drink. and those little kind action made my day!!

-a novel to soothe my weekend. stephanie evanovich has slowly make her way into my heart to become one of my favorite author. her novels are just normal fiction stories yet making my weekend more effective with some readings going on.

-bubble gum..singapore doesn't allow bubble gum in the markets. to get one, we always have to travel to malaysia and finished it up before returning to singapore again or else we won't be able to enter singapore. we found our favorite bubble gum with berry flavors.

explore: botanic garden (2)

after visiting botanic garden for the first time few weeks ago, i fall in love with the place immediately. botanic garden is relaxing and full of greenery views that i appreciated the most. after that weekend, i promised myself to go once again as i did not explore much on the first visit.

we went again the following week, and we remembered to tag along picnic bag :) there was a small concert going on that day, most singers are talented youngsters. after admiring their songs, we walked around to enjoy the beauty and explored the secret of botanic garden. and we managed to witness the most beautiful sunset ever while sitting in the face-to-face swing. best weekend ever!

and here are some photos that i shot:

review: neutrogena deep clean brightening & hydrating cleansing oil

As a working adult, my schedule is always tight and full of activities. As a lady, i always make sure I'm presentable and neat in workplace and at home. Nowadays, makeup is an easy job for me but removing makeup is always a hassle. Therefore, good quality makeup removers are a must in my beauty regime.

Few weeks ago, I received Neutrogena Deep Clean Brightening and Hydrating Cleansing Oil from Sample Store.
Products benefits:

Neutrogena's two latest additions to the deep clean range of cleansers, Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil and Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil are scientifically proven to not only remove 100 percent of makeup (even the most stubborn waterproof ones) plus take away 99 percent of dirt and impurities and also nourish the skin while cleansing.

The hydrating variant, Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil contains cucumber extract that helps hydrate skin and keep it soft. Cucumis sativus (cucumber juice) naturally has high water content (more than 95%) and natural sugars that are potent humectants, making it the choice naturally derived moisturizing agent.

The brightening variant, Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil contains mulberry extract which is known to contain ascorbic acid and niacin. Ascorbic acid, commonly known as vitamin c helps inhibit tyrosinase, a naturally  occurring enzyme that catalyses production of pigment. Niacin (vitamin b) is known to inhibit melanin transfer. Together this helps to reveal new skin cells and brighten the complexion.
The secret:

Both Deep Clean Hydrating & Brightening Cleansing Oils are formulated with a non-comedogenic micro emulsion that consists of water, oil and surfactants which explains how it transforms into soft cleaning milk with a touch of water.
How to use it:

Both cleansing oils work wonders when used on its own. user can complete their face-cleaning ritual by adding a second face washing step with either one cleansing oil.
For me, I did minimal makeup with layers of mascara. Pumped a few pumps and applied onto dry skin. While massaging, I noticed my makeup went off easily without any extra efforts. Washed off with clean water and I get clean and clear skin :)
My review:

Firstly I was quite reluctant to try out cleansing oil as the "oil" word makes me freaked out! My face is oily combination skin, hence I do not want to put any extra oil onto my skin anymore. Due to review purpose, I have to force myself to try out. And...I WAS TOTALLY SOLD IN JUST ONE TRY! The cleansing oil did not make my skin oily at all, yet they nourished and cleansed my makeup off effectively - superbly effective in removing waterproof mascara. Both cleansing oils gave same amazing effects for me but my favorite will be Neutrogena Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil as the mulberry extract smells so relaxing and great! Definitely is a MUST beauty product in my daily regime.

How much I love this product: 10/10 (lovin' it)

How to get it:

Deep Clean Brightening Cleansing Oil and Deep Clean Hydrating Cleansing Oil are retailing at S$29.90 each and will be available at Guardian and Watson.

And these are the other Deep Clean products for Neutrogena

review: biore UV aqua rich watery gel spf 50+ PA++++

as mister and i went to explore on our bike a lots recently, i noticed my skin went darker. i always like fairer skin compare to darker one. and whenever my skin turned darker, it is hard to return to fair skin (which i may need to lock myself in room without any outdoor activities for more than 3 months to get slightly fairer skin). sometimes i have to remind myself to apply more sunscreen before any outings.

-there are no ugly women, only lazy ones-
helena rubinstein

recently sample store sent biore uv aqua rich watery gel for me to try out. i was glad to try out immediately before outings and started to love this sunscreen.
a 2014 benchmark survey commissioned by kao singapore revealed a surprising find - that only 30% of women between the age 12 till 49 years old use a sunscreen daily.

i'm in that 30%!!
product benefits:

-superior double UV block with enhanced spf 50+ / PA++++
-maximum protection against harmful UVA and UVB rays from the sun
-retain its light and watery texture that allow smooth application without a sticky feel
-infused with hyaluronic acid & citrus extract to keep skin hydrated and fresh
-suitable for application on face & body
did you know?:

prolonged exposure to sun's UV rays without proper protection can cause permanent effects such as premature skin aging, wrinkles & freckles, discoloration, sallowness, dryness and skin cancer (the most serious).

UV rays classified into different wavelengths, known as UVA & UVB.

UVA rays penetrate into deeper layers of our skin and also dominant tanning ray while UVB cause the most damage to the outer layer of skin such as reddening of skin or sunburns which can cause long-term damage to skin's epidermal layers.
sunscreen products are rated based on two rating systems, known as skin protection factor (SPF) and the PA rating system.

the SPF rating determines the duration of time your skin stays protected against UVB rays from the sun. the calculation method - SPF rating x (no. of minutes for skin to darken under sun) = no. of minutes skin is protected under UVB rays

PA rating is a japanese rating system that show how much protection you are receiving from UVA rays. the higher the number of pluses, the greater the protection against UVA rays. currently the highest standard of PA protection in industry is PA++++

my review:

i don't really like applying sunscreen or lotion to my skin as i always felt they making me feeling sticky and uncomfortable. but i can't let myself exposed too much under the sun, so i always reminded myself to apply sunscreen before any outings. i tried out biore UV aqua rich watery gel even before i received sample from sample store..and i already liking it. the formula is easy to apply and absorbing fast too into the skin. the texture is watery and non-sticky at all..which is my biggest concern before started to use sunscreen. i always applied a thin layer before outings and have to re-apply after a few hours..to prevent sunburns. i'm quite comfortable with the packaging size too as it is easy to bring out..
and i did a test on the biore sunscreen.. to prove it is not oily after application (please let it absorb into the skin for a few seconds). i used oil blotting paper to test on my skin. ended up, i'm satisfied with the results :)

how much i love this product: 10/10 (lovin' it)
how to get it:
available at all leading pharmacies, departmental stores, super & hyper markets, beauty stores and selected mini-marts for S$18.90 / 90ml

review: palmer's white & even dark circle correcting eye treatment and dark spot corrector

my mum always advise me to take good care of my skin before pregnancy she faced hyper-pigmentation after she gave birth to me and my 5 siblings due to hormone changes. even i'm not ready for pregnancy yet, i'm glad that she gave such a precious advice to me. while for me, i always thought UV rays is the most scariest as "brown soldiers" underneath my skin will come out immediately to protect my skin whenever i expose to sun..

therefore, i always added whitening products to my skincare regimen. and this summer, palmer's launched their white & even series for us - ladies. i have tried dark circle correcting eye treatment and dark spot corrector for almost two weeks now, and can't wait to share all the benefits with my readers.

my review:

eye treatment or eye cream is a must in my daily beauty regimen. i have puffy eyes and dark circles which i still trying to find a way to cure them. as i always slept late and faced desktop whole day, i guess the only cure is to use the right skincare products and increase my sleeping hours slowly. i tried palmer's dark circle correcting eye treatment for almost two weeks, everyday in the morning before makeup. i really love the coverage of sheer luminizing brighteners as i used it as eye treatment and concealer before my makeup. i used the cooling metal applicator to massage a little and it helps to de-puffed my eyes a little bit and my dark circles seem to be lighter than before application. some days, my eyes area got really dried and skin started to peel off a little too.. but since i used palmer's, i did not face this problem. so far so good :)
before & after:
the "after photo" was taken after applying eye treatment and fake lashes, and before i put foundation and concealer.

my review:

i was so in love with this product the first time i started using it. the scent is so comforting and relaxing that i almost apply onto my whole face. trust me, you will love it when you smell it!! i used this product for almost two week every night before sleep. after toner, i applied generous amount of dark spot corrector on the targeted area with cotton buds. again, the smell is awesome!! i was glad that i have a fresh dark spot which was created days before i receive dark spot corrector for me to do the experiment. the results was surprisingly awesome. the dark spot started to fade after a week and now it is almost invisible..i guess the results is so visible on me perhaps the dark spot is a fresh one.

review: biore aqua jelly makeup remover

nowadays most of the girls and ladies did makeup before they went out to meet people. so do i, which i believe i live for makeup. i'm not professional in doing makeup but at least i knew some basic steps. and the most hardest thing is that to remove all the makeup since i used 100% waterproof products in most of my makeup routine.

removing makeup is so important as clog pores and breakout will happen if our face is not clean enough  at the end of the day. and i had ever experienced those situation whereas pimples came to do visiting the next day as i was too lazy to clean my full makeup face before the night. and i promised myself i won't repeating the same habit again, forever!

hereby, let me introduce one of my makeup remover for daily use.
this is biore new & improved aqua jelly makeup remover. before this, i was using biore first version of jelly makeup remover and the results was amazing too!
the improved aqua jelly makeup remover consists of:

my review:

i started using "first version" aqua jelly makeup remover a few months ago and i already liking this product so much! when sample store approached me for the new & improved aqua jelly makeup remover, i definitely agreed as fast as i can as. biore never disappoints me..
first, the packaging is attractive in pink color and with the pump available is a bonus to me too! the formula is watery, lightweight and non-oily which dissolved my waterproof makeup (mascara too!) easily leaving my skin feeling fresh and soft. the formula is easily glided on my eyes area too as my eyes area is so sensitive sometimes. this will be definitely one of the makeup remover i will recommend to my sister as she did makeup daily too.

how to use it:
-pump appropriate amount (2-3 pumps) onto hands and spread evenly over face and eye area
-massage gently to dissolve makeup
-rinse thoroughly with water. it is not necessary to remove cleansing liquid with cotton pad or tissue
-for best results, apply on dry hands and face. do not use facial cotton pad or tissue
