thankful lists for the week // 22

this whole week was perrrfect!! i felt like i was living in a princess's life. we did several activities together and although some misunderstand in between, everything else were just amazing! life is so good. and whenever i felt life is good, every scenes that i saw were positive too! i guess it was because i'm feeling content and pleasant with current situation.

for the week, i'm thankful for:

-8th years anniversary on saturday. i can't believe we have been together for almost a decade and our love has being growing stronger each days. of course there were arguments here and there but we fixed it superb fast and tried not to bring all the angers to the next day. perhaps, this might be the secret for growing old together as a couple? we'll see..

-smooth exam on monday's night. night class has started since a month ago and before mid-semester break, i need to sit for a test. i felt butterflies in my stomach whenever i heard "test" or "exam" coming up. i don't have ability to cope with stress and my stress tolerance is low..i gave myself pretty hard time last week to finish all the revisions for four chapters before monday. and i was so so so glad that the exam was easier that expected, which mean i have confident that i will get good marks.

-popular's book sales shopping spree on saturday's noon. i love to shop especially for new clothes, skincare/makeup or books. mister bought me to the books sales event in expo and both of us added some books to our rack. hoping that i can finish some of them soon

-witnessed dragon boat's competition for the first time. the company that mister works with was joining for the dragon boat's competition and he had been given a task to video the competition. and i joined in as a supporter too. the experience was great and i took a few photos too. will update in another post..

-movie date with mister for new released saint andreas movie. a highly recommended movie that you must watch! :)

do you have a lists too?let's us be thankful..even to the littlest and simplest things.

8th years anniversary

8 years ago, mister asked me to be his girlfriend and i said yes!

8 years later, our love is still going on strong and we can't live without each others.

happy 8th years anniversary!!

hiruscar post-acne gel

hey girls, do you have a moment whereas normal days your skin get so good that no pimples or acne appears and some rough moments, those little red dots pooping out uncontrollably leaving those scary marks on skin after recovery? yes, i have those irritating periods and sometimes concealing is the only way to cover all those dark marks.

recently, i have been introduced to try out hiruscar post-acne and i'm so glad that this product arrived at my doorstep in the right timing.
the introduction:

the key features are non-comedogenic, hypoallergenic, alcohol-free, and contains pionin which is an anti-bacterial agent that help to prevent acne recurrence.

my review:

i received hiruscar post-acne gel when my pimple was recovering. whenever pimples came to do visiting, they always left some marks for me as remembrance. my skin may looks good from far, yet when you come nearer you might see dark marks in some areas. before hiruscar post-acne gel, my solution will be concealer as a veil to those dark markings. i tried hiruscar post-acne for a week now and i definitely seeing positive results here. the dark mark seem to be less visible within a week. the gel did not have any scent which is great for sensitive skin too and as mentioned, it absorbed fast into my skin leaving non-greasy sensation.
i'm really satisfied with the results and will continue to use it daily :)

30th birthday celebration

30th sounds adults and am still trying to get use to the number so that i won't circle wrongly whenever any forms or particulars need to be fill up.

i told mister few days before my birthday that i want a huge celebration for my 30th birthday as i will be officially an adult soon. mister is not a romantic guy and he always prefer to arrange every activities under my acknowledgements. ya, this is my guy... can't blame him much since in the first place i already knew this is his way to make things work.
my co-workers threw a surprise birthday's cake for me on friday's afternoon.. and the cake was so colorful that i don't even wish to eat it. they knew me,i always wanted a colorful cake and here they got me one. so happy and surprise! oh, i even got a birthday's present from one of the co-worker too.

as my birthday fall on monday, we celebrated on the weekend. we went for hotpot in one of the famous hotpot's restaurant in town. when i mean famous=expensive too. we wished to try out as there were a lot of positive reviews on their soup and food served. overall, the food was alright but i definitely love how the waitress served us like a king! as we never make a booking, we waited for an hour before enjoying our dinner..

every year, i forced mister to buy me a slice of cake for birthday. this round, i ordered a box of macaroons with different flavors from the icing room. this was my first time trying our macaroons, the experience was fun and full of curiosity. my favorite was the blueberry flavor..

i snapped a selfie in a toilet which i rarely did.. but i did it on 30th.
we watched a movie together for the weekend. pitch perfect 2 was awesome!! highly recommended for those who haven't watch it..please do so.

mister asking what i want for present..still thinking though.

30th birthday's celebration seem simple but full of meaningful activities together with love one. definitely cherish this memories forever.

it's my birthday today..officially 30!!

*photo taken a day before today, a day where i was still 29*

today is my birthday, and i'm officially entering new stage of life. 30 sounds scary at first but today i'm feeling a lot more confident and smarter than 30 sounds more interesting and not as scary as i thought.

to welcome new stage, i pampered myself with a little spa yesterday night. i took out a few beauty items from cabinet, deep-conditioner for hair - body scrub which smells awesome! - razor for shaving those ugly armpit's hairs - plucked those rude eyebrow's hairs - and scrubbed my face with creme simon's scrub

my parents and siblings greeted me early morning today and i thanked my mum for giving birth to me. my mum even declared that i'm officially an adult now..which making me felt a lot more powerful than ever.

mister celebrated my early birthday on weekend as i will be taking exam tonight. this man treated me like a queen for the whole weekend, and i can't be thankful enough.

happy birthday to me!! cheers to 30!!

thankful lists for the week // 21

happy happy weekend!! i conclude that i spent my week stress-fully enough to make myself gone crazy. when a human resource officer met up with tons of resignation letters from employees, i'm sure every human resource officer will burst into tears, right? recruiting new peoples ain't easy task. and when a part-time night class's student did not understand what is costing all about, yet when lecturer questioned her is she okay and she answered yes (yet deep in heart it is not okay)..she burst into tears again. i'm just that weak person who burst into tears whenever problems came. but that's alright as week like this never happen too many times in a year. and week like this definitely deserve some documentary to memorize and to remind myself how strong i can get through it

for the week, i'm thankful for:

-#withoutshoes by #toms.. i always admire the "kindness & giving spirits" that toms has and would definitely love to support them too. with just a photo of #withoutshoes, i can help children in needs. i'm in the middle of eye-ing one of this

-handmade blouse by my mum that i'm wearing now. she's a talented woman!

-feeling myself again. i have been unwell for sometimes and getting healthy again is superb awesome, though still coughing a bit

-a few hours rain in a day did gave me some comfort & cooling sensation. i hate scorching sun in the afternoon!

-early birthday celebration by coworkers. rainbow's cake is yummy & colorful :)

do you have a lists too?let's us be thankful..even to the littlest and simplest things.

palmer's rapid moisture spray lotion

ever since i started using palmer's skin therapy oil for face , palmer's has became one of my favorite brand ever!and few days ago,i have been given palmer's rapid moisture spray lotion for a try. this girl will never reject any beauty products that beneficial for her skin :)
the brand story:

founded in america more than 170 years ago in 1840, palmer's has become one of the world's leading names in skincare, a brand that women around the world have grown up with. Palmer's can be found in bathroom cabinets in the homes of families in more than 80 countries, making it one of the popular skincare brand.
their #1 formula, cocoa butter formula is one of palmer's key offering in its wide range of, palmer's is still committed to create affordable products for every skincare need: hand & body care, facial care, strech mark care, hair care, body care and personal care.
palmer's key ingredients include cocoa butter, shea butter, extra virgin olive oil, etc. palmer's is against animal testing and all of the products are cruelty free.majority of palmer's products are free of parabens, phthalates and sulphates.

their latest innovation is the new age moisturizer in a can. palmer's brand embassador is none other than sonia sui, the popular taiwanese celebrity model cum actress. she's such a beautis!

my review:

i love using lotion before my sleep, but i have to admit that laziness may attacked sometimes and lotion will not be my priority anymore. a moisturizer spray lotion? sounds creative and new to me which i think is convenience and easy for me to spray on to my skin only. thanks to the cocoa butter formula, it provides deep moisture to my skin in instant as i have quite a dry and flaky skin due to staying in air-conditioning room for long period. the formula is definitely light-weight,not greasy and non-staining on my skin as palmer's included rapidsorb technology to allow faster and quicker absorption which leave my skin softer and smoother. believe me, it really absorbed in seconds!! i'm amazed! and this spray lotion smell like vanilla!! slowly, it has become one of my "must-have" product in daily use now :)
and for the best results, hold can 3-4 inches from skin and spray in a continuous motion. rub gently into skin..there is no visible results here, but i can felt my skin smoother than before

interested? you can get palmer's rapid moisture spray lotion for instant cooling from watsons, guardian, fairprice, BHG, robinsons, john little and leading cosmetic stores for S$17.90/200g

carina lau sea lily whitening mask

i remembered the first impression when i saw carina lau mask was "wow,i must get one for myself - the packaging is so elegant and expensive".. i knew, don't judge a book by it's cover..but trust me,this mask is awesome!

i knew carina lau as an elegant, confident and beautiful woman who never grow old. i admire her beauty and her intelligent from the inside out. hence,i do believe the mask will give some miracle too..

a little introduction about carina brand:
*information taken from*

carina, exclusively for asian woman skin care brand. the founder, carina lau ka ling founded the brand in 2014. carina lau is a well-known international movie star, a very noble, elegant oriented woman who has not changed or grown old making her beautiful face more beautiful and enigmatic woman.
there is a legend of the fountain of youth in euthopia can be forever young and dynamic people, this beautiful story to carina infinite yearning and inspiration for her own set scientific initiation healthy body experience to share out thoughts for those who do not usually contact to her people also benefit, so that the skin remains transparent firm, moist and glossy, carina brand was born.

how to use it:
i'm a girl who believe mask always did the best trick to porcelain, smoother and translucent skin. i have plenty of sheet masks supply in drawer to cure all the stubborn problems that i'm having currently. the stock are too much that mister started to complaint about it. :O
although i have different brands of masks available, some may not did a much justice as carina mask gave after an application.
carina mask has wide sheet which is very sufficient for my wide face, which i concern the most! the scent of the mask is light and flowery which definitely gave much relaxing feeling during pampering session. after mask application for 20 minutes, i massaged the remaining essence onto my skin and let it dried for a while. i can noticed that my skin looked fairer and firmer than before, and my pores were getting smaller too. these were the results that really amazed me! but i had to wash off my face after that as i felt the mask essence was too sticky on my face. yet it didn't bothered me much as my skin was smoother than ever :)
have you ever try carina lau mask? or any other brands?

i redeemed this sample mask from using my member's points that i had accumulated for a while.

hada labo perfect gel // 3 in 1 intense hydration

guess what? weeks ago,i joined a giveaway organized by sample store. till today, i can't believe that i won that giveaway. the winner name is my name, and i had to rub my eyes twice to make sure i read it correctly. lucky draw, giveaways, contest & etc are never giving me any luck before, so this time i was overjoyed and too excited for winning the giveaway. the prize was beauty products worth $5o which the organizer had couriered to me. one of the product is hada labo perfect gel.
i knew this brand and i ever tried their super moist light toner too, and the toner is in my top 5 favorite brands. as the packaging mentioned that this gel can be use as essence or sleeping mask or moisturizer, i tried using it as sleeping mask/night cream as i always believe sleeping time is the best time to heal our skin.

the texture of the gel is quite watery and lightweight, and the scent is so soft and relaxing. honestly, this is my first time trying out sleeping mask and i get too anxious as i'm not sure what the results after waking up the next day will bring me..
to my surprise, my skin felt superb moisture, soft and supple the second morning when i wake up.since then, i had being using this gel as sleeping mask for 2 weeks now and my skin is getting better and better..who will predict a giveaway prize will help in beautifying my skin so much? below is the before & after photo after application before sleep. photos may not do too much justice on how good this product is..

*please ignore my eyes bag,please*

before that,my skin seem to be dehydrated as i always stayed in air-conditioning room. some parts is rougher and am quite concern on this problems too. after application, i felt my skin is smoother and moisturized than before.
have you ever tried sleeping mask before?

p.s. this is not a sponsored review, i just think this product is too good not be share.

happy mother's day

three words to describe my mum:

- noble -
- strong -
- beautiful -

my siblings and i gathered in kl last week to celebrate my mum's early birthday and early mother's day. my mum spent her every pennies carefully and the money always goes to the right ways, so when she found out that we bought a cake for her, she started to nag. what is a meaning of birthday without a cake, right?

she's always the woman who couldn't spent her money wastefully.

she's the woman that can work 365 days without any rest day just to earn more for her kids
eventhough she worked 365 days, she still kept some times to chat with her kids just to understand more on their daily happenings in school and she even prepared lunch and dinner for her kids too

whenever we need advice, our first thought is to find her. she's the wisest woman in our life that give the best solution for our problems

she's a master in everything, she knew how to knit, sew, cook, bake, etc.. ask her anything she will give you the answers - unfortunately those DNA never passes down to her daughters haha

she always complaint that her skin started to sag and wrinkles appearing and till now never give up looking for a better skincare too. she even plan to book appointment for skin lifting surgery. but mum, please remember those wrinkles made you such a beautiful woman. and your beauty is from your heart, not your wrinkles.

she love photography and posing in from of camera too
sometimes she may be annoying as she could nag all day long, but once we cool down we still think her advices are the best for us.

she tries to be her children's best friend, and she's quite successful in making those relationship work.

she's the first one to support any decisions that i made.

she's skinny and petite which mean she can wear all her daughters' clothing without any hesitation. we are like "giant" beside her..not too sure how she could gave birth to me and siblings (6 times)

each times i went home, i noticed my old folks' grey hairs and wrinkles. i knew they may not be with us forever and ever but i pray each day that they stay as healthy as possible. no one could replace them in our heart.

so, mum..happy mother's day!! lovin' and missing you here..

what's three words to describe your mum?

thankful lists for the week // 19

this week have been passing in a blink of eyes, since we had being returning to work on tuesday instead of monday. my week had being occupied with heavy workloads and night classes only. but we tried to make our day as fun as possible too :)

for the week, i'm thankful for:

-food adventure!! if you ask me - how much you would spend on your food? i can tell you i can spend hell lots of money on food. i love making discovery on new restaurants and cafes and even just small little food stalls. this week, we found a new fastfood restaurant in bigbox shopping mall. the chicken burger with fried egg was bomb!! and no one could resist their cheesy french fries with fried sweet potatoes. and the price is the cheeeaaapest in town!! we even tried out frozen yogurt layered with crunch, fruits and sauces in llao llao. it was good but i will keep nominating yami yogurt instead

-mr sunshine. weather have been getting warmer and warmer this day. the moment i stepped out from the office door, i felt my makeup started to melt and sweat started to squeeze out from my skin. how i wish someone could do takeaway for my lunch. not complaining here.. as i still prefer sun from rain as mister and i mostly travel by our bike, definitely much more convenience for us.

-neutrogena. they sent me some sunscreen lotions to try out and i did a review here. i'm thankful that they believe in me and personally, i really think neutrogena is a great products

-in a pink of health. i think health is very important and i couldn't deny sometime i did ate unhealthy food and drank too much pop/carbonated drinks. whenever i passed by train station, i saw a few old men sat on their wheel chairs selling tissues or sing in public to earn some donations from strangers. i always buy tissues from them..i believe if they are in a good condition, they might not choose to sit on wheel chair..
those old men gave me so much thoughts to stay as healthy as possible

-my mother. since this week is a mother's day week, i would love to thank her for everything. she is my hero forever (will do another post about mother's day)

do you have a lists too?let's us be thankful..even to the littlest and simplest things.

neutrogena // ultra sheer sunscreen protection

as i stay permanently in sunny singapore, i should say i'm lucky that i got to enjoy sunshine almost everyday and can visit beaches almost every weekends. everything come with pros and cons, right? sunshine is beautiful yet harming to us too. i can't leave my house without any skincare and sunscreen protection, as i believe "beauty begins with healthy skin" and always dreaming of porcelain skin.

early this week, i was being introduced to try neutrogena suncare products. neutrogena is such a popular brand that i've seen it since years ago.

neutrogena is the #1 dermatologist recommended suncare brand in USA and is one of the few brands in singapore that boasts suncare protection for both face and body.

neutrogena introduced helioplex technology that contains FDA-approved sunscreens covering the full UVA and UVB spectrum. though many sunscreens offer protection from UVA rays, this protection starts to break down when skin is exposed to the sun. helioplex prevents this from happening by stabilizing UVA protection so that even under highly intensive sunlight, i still can be assured my sun protection does its job more effectively up to 5-6 hours.

well, how to choose the right sunscreen for ourself?

it is important to make sure that the sunscreen offers long-lasting, stable protection against both UVA and UVB rays. the sun protection factor (SPF) and the PA rating measures the protection against UVA & UVB rays respectively.

sun protection factor (SPF) - is measures how long you can stay in the sun without the sunscreen before getting burned. for example - applying a sunscreen with SPF30 means it will take 30 minutes longer for your skin to get burn. SPF protection alone is not enough as it measure the protection against the sunburn caused by UVB rays only - not UVA

PA rating - a sunscreen with a PA rating means it blocks UVA rays. the more the "+" signs it has, the higher the UVA protection. protection against UVA rays is important because UVA rays have a longer wavelength and they penetrate deeper into skin, contributing to premature aging and skin cancer.
neutrogena ultra sheer dry-touch sunblock with SPF50+ can be use on normal to sensitive skin. this lightweight sunblock is waterproof, sweatproof and rub-off resistance. don't worry that it may clog pores as it is non-comedogenic and oil-free. i noticed that dry-touch sunblock solution is thicker than ultra-sheer sunblock which is definitely great on face and body with alluring fresh scent. i even noticed that it gave whitening effect to my skin too! dry-touch sunblock is a must for my outdoor activities now :)
neutrogena ultra sheer complete uv waterlight lotion is my last step of skincare regimes and first step to prepare my skin before applying makeup. non-sticky and non-oily texture did gave me easier job in spreading my foundation without leaving "cakey feeling". compared to dry-touch sunblock, i noticed that ultra sheer have ultra lightweight and watery lotion which easily being absorbed to my skin. i start to love this product so much now :)

so girls, let's us keep our skin healthy by getting the right sunscreen protection. please use sunscreen daily even on the cloudy day as up to 80% of the sun's rays can penetrate into light clouds, mist and fog.

-"keep calm and love your skin"-

thankful lists for the week // 18

happy weekend girls!! this weekend is a long-awaiting weekend for me as currently i'm blogging through my sister's notebook in her house. my parents and all the siblings (except the youngest sister whose currently in india) are here too and we are so excited to see each others that we can't stop chit-chatting. my sister's house is full of noise which i guess her neighbour might be started to get annoy and file complaint at the management office for the interuptions. anyway, no one care much - we ate too much too as my mum cooked plenty of home-cooked dishes for us. our plan is to visit some island nearby but for some reasons we didn't make it. i believe quality is better than quantity - as long as all of us appreciate the time spend together. yes, we did appreciated each others so much, at least i do :)

for the week, i'm thankful for:

-understanding classmates. i'm always thought that i'm the luckiest girl in the world that i met such a great bunch of peoples to call classmates. three of them are so considerate and understanding. my school life seem to be easier with their existence

-safe journey from singapore to kl - since this week is labour week, highway seem to be pretty jam-packed with cars. everyone wishes to get a short getaways to somewhere else. and bus driver took hugh responsibility to drive safely to the destination - and before i departed on thursday's night i prayed hard for a smooth journey. mister and i made it home!

-mister (again!) he knew i miss my families so much that he applied leave on saturday just to accompany me and my families for the weekend. and i noticed that you tried to befriend with my brothers, gladly you got pretty well with them. i'm appreciating this, if you're reading this

-good weather in kl - although the weather is superb hot in kl now, but at least there is no rainfall. or else, it will be difficult for us to get out of the house and do the exploration

-good #ootd photos - haha, thanks to my sister, angeline. she's doing a great job in taking #ootd photos for me yesterday

do you have a lists too?let's us be thanksful..even to the littlest and simplest things.
