thankful lists for the week // 05

can you believe today is the last day of january? i can't!! time is fast, in a blink of eyes january is going to finish and chinese new year is around the corner in less than a month.what have you did this month? this month is pretty rough month for me, and hoping for better one on february.and yet, i will remain positive attitude and learn from my mistakes and the past.this week is still the same week for me, covered with busy working life and night classes.this week,i felt uninspired to blog too which is kind of bad. hopefully i will search for some inspirations again.

for the week, i'm thankful for:

-today is pay day!! pay day is always the happiest day for me as i get my hard-earned salary and normally i will buy something to thank myself for being so hardworking, diligent and committed to my job.

-learn how to be happy and smile widely. everyone deserve to be happy..and i want to maintain this happiness everyday. first tip: to look younger is to be happier!

-weekends!! who doesn't love weekends, right? everybody love weekends! weekends is for cuddling, eating, dreaming, watching movies, lying comfortably on bed without doing anything, go to park to breath in some fresh air..

-piggy bank. mister and i have a habit of saving our coins into piggy banks.every few months, we went to deposit our coins and believe me, we can do savings better with coins rather than notes. there was always a few hundred bucks value in our piggy banks.

-vitamin c supplements. recently i have started to consume vitamin c supplements daily after breakfast. and i did noticed some improvements in my nose allergy and skin conditions and my gum did not bleed anymore during brushing teeth this a miracle? yes, it is..

do you have a lists too?let's us be thankful..even to the littlest and simplest things.

thankful lists for the week // 04

busiest week ever!! not complaining here, and i really love how everything in schedule and getting organized with activities and workloads and projects. i can sense this year will be a very good year ahead. all the best!

for the week, i'm thankful for:

-kisses. people said chocolate released pressure and tension, i can felt it too.recently, kisses (mint candy & cookies n creme) had became my favorite flavors in kisses' varieties. and mister pampered me with a full box of chocolates and i hope they will last me for a month..

-pillow talk with mister. both of us working full time 6 days a week. we barely talking to each others much, so the best time to communicate is every night before sleep. a good 5-minutes talking did helped us to know each others deeper what had happened for the day.

-inventor of washing machine. i did my laundry moments ago and i was glad that we got washing machine. 4 days of dirty clothes really gave me headache if i have to hand-wash each of them.

-moisturizer. recently my skin is drying and flaking a lots. i'm not sure what is happening to my skin, perhaps the weather or maybe the air-conditioning. but with moisturizer, my skin is good to go for the day.

-what apps message from my mum saying "i miss you" made my day. i haven't seeing my parents for few months now, and i'm kind of missing them too. they are one of the reasons why i work harder for my future nowadays. without them, i'm nothing.

do you have a lists too?let's us be thankful..even to the littlest and simplest things.

memories with my grandma

while i was clearing up my hard disk's photos,i came across this one.she was my grandma (my mum's mum) and this was me when i was 16 or 17??maybe 15. my mum preserved this photo well and she gave it to me two years back for my forever memories.i remember vividly, i was pretty close to her since kid as she doted me so much that whatever i requested, she will fulfilled it. she was my favorite grandma in this world. my siblings and i used to stay overnight at her place every weekends and she will bought delicious breakfast for us.time passed and after i went studied in other states,my grandma and i lost all those bonding.i never called her and i seldom visited her whenever i was home.and she always went traveling with her sons and grandsons that we seldom saw each others too..once in a blue moon,i got to meet her but she seem so stranger to me ever since.

fast forward to the time she was diagnosed with cancer.i felt my heart aching badly yet i can't do much to mum who was the one crying a lots when she passed away.yeah,i mean that woman who lying in coffin was her mother..who gave birth to her. on that particular day on january 2013,i received a call from my mum that grandma had passed away and i had to be home immediately.i booked my air tickets, this was the most heart-breaking moments i ever had during "air-ticket booking session" as i used to feel happy to be home with families.the journey home was terribly emotional and hard, all my mind filled with memories that we had created together since i was kid..and all the images finished on the day i went studying abroad.i managed to reach home on time before she was buried.for the whole year,my mum felt moody.she missed her mum a lots.we seldom mentioned about grandma in front of her again as we don't wish to get her into sad mode again.

i always have a thinking in my mind.if i knew she will "gone", what i would do before that?

i will phone her more often.i regretted this so much!
i will buy her favorite food.
i will bring her to her favorite vacation
i will kiss her cheeks..
i will hug her, for sure!
i will visit her more often

after all,i guess she don't need any luxurious things beside from our companions..

i don't have chance to rewind everything to the beginning again..but i want to to keep this post in my blog before all those memories fade slowly as i grow older..and i start appreciating people around me

it has been said that time heals all wounds. i don't agree. the wounds remain. time - the mind, protecting its sanity - covers them with some scar tissue and the pain lessens, but it is never gone

mask review: my beauty diary // imperial bird's nest mask

few weeks ago, i did a $5.99 checkout purchase for four samples from sample store.well,if you're interested you may click here

one of them is beauty diary-imperial bird's nest mask.everytime when i heard of products with bird's nest,my eyes will appeared extra large and my mouth will went "wow" (as if i stroke 4D)..bird's nest is so expensive and luxury!! i did research and found out that bird's nest is high in protein and good in building skin's collagen and moisturizing agents.of course,i was excited to try it out.
descriptions from the packaging:

optimally nourishing-amino acids, collagen and polysaccharides extracted from supreme imperial bird's nest can penetrate deeply into extremely dry skin to nourish it. this is accompanied by natural plant extracts from oats, brown algae and maple sugar that hydrate, retain moisture and soothe. the patented long-lasting moisturizing ingredient cosphingo, helps to moisturize and refine skin texture, rendering skin perfect to touch and optimally nourished.

invigorating and moisturizing- centella asiatica, baobab tree pulp extract, hydrolysed soy and rice protein essence soothe dryness, prevent skin from cracking and provide highly-effective moisturization for enhanced skin elasticity. with the soothing and hydrating effects from malva sylvestris and multiple types of algae, your skin is invigorated and alluring.

skin types:

normal skin types, recommended for extremely dry skin

after cleansing and toning, tear open the mask and apply it over the face. remove after 20-30 minutes.if there is essence left on the face, gently massage it into the skin with fingertips until it is fully absorbed. no rinsing is necessary.follow your regular skincare regimen to seal in the nourishment.
my review:

my skin got dried easily as i was in the air-conditioning room most of the times.and i had to apply mask twice every week to maintain my skin to be moisturize all the times.after all drier skin get wrinkles easily! i have quite a "huge face", and i always concern on the mask sheet. "my beauty diary" has the perfect sheet's size for my face which i was very comfortable with. the smells was light and relaxing. after 30 minutes, i took off the sheet and followed the instruction to massage the remaining lightly. it mentioned that i don't have to wash off, yet i felt my skin quite sticky after it dried up..hence i had to rinse with water. my skin felt soft and rejuvenated after the mask..i can definitely saw my pores getting smaller than before use.
brow-less face

8 out of 10
i will definitely recommend this mask for friends who have dry skin..and i will buy for my own use too :)

thankful lists for the week // 02

*this is my sunday's weather*

my week had being occupied with works, gym and night classes.sometimes i felt lucky i was given the chance to go study again, but some moments i felt terrible. this frustrating mood always appeared whenever lecturers mentioned the due date for the projects or exam's date. to reduce this kind of "stupid mood" i decided to start doing all my assignments earlier instead of last minute. so yea, i think this method is working pretty well too. i hope your week's been a good one there!

for the week, i'm thankful for:

-a cup of juice next to me now, nothing beats the freshness of ruby grapefruit juice.i had being crazy for ruby grapefruit for a while now as being categorized as world's healthiest fruit is kind of big deals

-my hair..ever since i chopped it short & bob, i had being regretting a lots.i missed my long and straight hair. i decided to keep it as healthy as possible to maintain the shininess for long hair.currently, my hair had being growing out till shoulder length and i'm lovin' it

- genius is 1% talent and 99% hardwork -albert einstein-
i don't have talent, so i have to work harder. this semester,i'm facing everything theories which meant i have to memorize hard.i'm so happy that i had passed all my common test.nobody wish to do re-test again after two weeks holidays

-mister's surprise!! one day when he was fetching me home from school, he said he had a surprise for me.he bought something that i love to drink and asking me for a guess.i can't get the answer right..but i was surprised by his surprise.he bought cultured milk drinks for me..i felt so spoiled!!

-honesty..mister and i went to nearby supermarket to grab some necessities, and in my hand i had my favorite fruits jellies in small plastic packaging.i dropped the whole things accidentally on the floor and the plastic broke a first reaction,i wished to put back on the rack and exchange with new one.but mister said i had to be responsible and honest with my action. finally,we paid the broken one..and i'm glad that mister was beside me to give me the right direction and be honest with ourself. :)

my resolutions for 2015

this year, as usual..i did a few resolutions for myself. though sometimes i hate to call this resolutions as most of the resolutions were never being done properly, but life with resolutions aka targets aka dreams will be more meaningful than without..agree with me?

for this year resolutions:

-be happier
i can't stop myself from aging (does 30 sounds old?) but i knew secret to younger skin is to be happy and smile more or laugh more.recently, i noticed a few fine lines started to appear at the edge of my eyes..i'm kind of worry here..eyes cream have became my "must-have" beauty product in daily regimen. any tips to prevent lines?

-develop reading habit
i'm a slow reader..slower than a snail..a novel can lasted for a year, covered with dust and spider webs yet i still have half unread. ain't healthy habit,i should develop more reading interest and practice reading few pages everyday

-blog more
i'm really grateful that i discovered blogging platform. blogging is a place where i felt comfortable to express my feelings, my words and my intentions. blogging improved my grammars and my vocabulary too! and blog brought back lots of memories whenever i viewed back the previous months.i'm targeting myself to blog at least three times a week.

-mastering photography skills
photography is definitely one of my favorite hobby to do on weekend..where ever i went,my canon 600d will be in my bag too. landscape and scenery is my targets now

-debt free
mister and i had owed some study loans and credit cards from government and banks. honestly, paying interest ain't fun..this year, both of us (hand in hand) hoping to clear all the debts and going for free-debt life.

my favorite country to visit >> taiwan..i'm not sure why i adore this country so much but i had being to this country twice and each times i ended up bringing extra luggage home..oh,the food!! believe me,i love love love every stalls along the night markets.hopefully i can save enough to travel during winter period as i had being there on summer and fall.

-world peace
this is definitely out of my control but i will pray daily hoping for world free from wars, disasters and accidents..these are the reasons why i never read newspaper

and lastly, this is my favorite photo it so much!

happy new year!

new year's fireworks was so beautiful..mister and i rode our bike to the downtown hoping to see the fireworks..out of our expectation, new year eve in downtown was jam-packed with cars, bikes, pedestrians and polices.we can't parked at the usual parking field and had to make few turns around to finally found a path to park..and it was really quite far away from the least,we witnessed the 5 minutes fireworks together with lots and lots of strangers.countdown was fun!

on new year eve,i had a small chat with one of my colleague.she was sad that yesterday was last day for 2014,yet i was happy 2014's over.2014 was good and i appreciated every moments, but i want a better year to come.i can foreseen 2015 will be an awesome year ahead.everything start from fresh, leaving all the history, memories and sad moments behind and look forward for better future in new year.
hereby,i would love to thank 2014 for giving me and my family so much memories and making me a better person after all the ups and downs.
